Job Description
CLEAR is a leading identity platform dedicated to creating frictionless experiences that make everyday moments feel seamless and effortless. With more than 30 million passionate members and a vast network of partners worldwide, CLEAR is transforming how people live, work, and travel by connecting individuals to their unique identities. This revolutionary approach ensures that interactions in airports, stadiums, and digital platforms are more secure, faster, and smoother. CLEAR’s innovative technology unlocks easier and more seamless access to services, driving a mission to make everyday experiences feel magical and stress-free.
As part of our airport leadership team, the Assistant Operations Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining and driving the excellence of daily floor operations at the station. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role demands a proactive leader who thrives in a high-energy, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is hands-on and directly involved in coaching and supervising the team to promote top-tier security standards, exceptional customer service, and robust sales performance.
The Assistant Operations Manager will spend roughly 80 percent of their time on the airport floor in a customer-facing environment, ensuring that CLEAR and TSA policies and procedures are executed with the utmost integrity and adherence to safety standards. This role requires constant monitoring and motivation of the team to meet security, service, and sales goals throughout each shift. The individual will manage shift briefings, debriefings, team huddles, and oversee operational details such as breaks, rotations, and changes, ensuring smooth operations at all times.
Moreover, this leadership position is responsible for asset control and understanding the operational technology. Troubleshooting and resolving technological issues are vital to maintaining an efficient workflow. The Assistant Operations Manager also acts as a key representative of CLEAR within the airport, liaising closely with TSA officials, airline partners, and other stakeholders to foster strong relationships and ensure alignment with security and operational standards.
In addition to these duties, the position involves managing incident prevention and response efforts, actively participating in station management meetings, and consistently promoting a culture of excellence and safety. The ideal candidate will come equipped with 1-2 years of leadership experience in a customer-facing environment such as hospitality, retail, or rental car services, coupled with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. This individual should be capable of multitasking in a dynamic and ever-changing setting, demonstrating strong organizational abilities, resilience, and a genuine commitment to the team and customers alike.
The role requires proficiency in daily use of technology, physical endurance to stand or walk for extended periods, and strict adherence to policies and procedures set forth by CLEAR, the airport, and relevant federal and state regulations. Candidates must be available to work a non-traditional schedule, including weekends, holidays, early mornings, and evenings. Completion of required airport and government security screenings, including SIDA badge eligibility and possibly federal Personnel Security screening, is mandatory.
CLEAR supports an inclusive work environment and offers reasonable accommodations for applicants and employees with disabilities or protected needs to ensure equitable access to career opportunities and work performance.
