The role of Assistant Night Manager at BJ's Wholesale Club is a critical leadership position within the merchandise department. This role involves ensuring that merchandise is properly stocked, displayed, and available for sale while maintaining the high presentation standards the club is known for. Working closely with the Assistant Club Manager of Merchandise, the Assistant Night Manager is responsible for directing the overnight team, coaching and motivating team members to meet the established Grand Opening Look Daily (GOLD) standards. Although this position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities, it plays a vital role in leading overnight operations, supporting task execution, and maintaining operational readiness of the sales floor. This includes coordinating staff, training forklift operators, and ensuring efficient performance of nightly merchandising duties including pallet movement, display setups, sales floor resets, and inventory controls. The Assistant Night Manager also serves as Manager on Duty (MOD) as needed, taking full responsibility for club operations, team leadership, and member engagement during assigned shifts.

This position demands a proactive approach to safety, operational standards, and member service. The Assistant Night Manager promotes a safe working environment through strict adherence to equipment usage policies such as forklift operation and sanitation protocols. The role requires collaboration with various club departments and leadership teams to align overnight activities with overall club goals and member expectations.
