The Meat Department Assistant Manager position at Harmons is a pivotal role designed to support the Meat Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring the meat department runs efficiently and profitably. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Follow established departmental and store policies and procedures
  • ensure the quality and freshness of all meat department products and services
  • maintain appropriate product assortment and inventory levels
  • confirm pricing accuracy and signage, especially for promotional items
  • clean and sanitize the meat department daily to company standards
  • deliver excellent customer service
  • be knowledgeable about all cuts of meat and perform meat cutting tasks such as grinding hamburger and sausage
  • assist the Meat Manager with ordering products and creating production sheets
  • complete assigned tasks efficiently and timely
  • set a professional and positive example for others
  • communicate openly with Store Director and Director of Fresh Meat
  • maintain company standards for safety, sanitation, and productivity
  • actively participate in the Safety Committee
  • create the meat department schedule to meet labor goals
  • teach, mentor, and educate meat department associates
  • provide direct and constant feedback to associates on performance
  • conduct quarterly inventory of all meat products
