Job Description

Our company is a well-established restaurant business committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences while maintaining high standards of food quality, customer service, and operational efficiency. We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and a positive, supportive environment for our employees. Our team is dedicated to upholding company policies and procedures that ensure food safety, cleanliness, and cost controls across all facets of the restaurant operation. We value leadership, teamwork, and integrity as the core elements driving our success in the competitive food service industry.

The role of Assistant Manager is crucial to the smooth operation and success of our restaurant. As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for leading the daily operations, working closely with the general manager and supervising shift managers and crew members. You will play an integral role in ensuring the restaurant meets and exceeds company goals related to food quality and safety, staffing levels, cleanliness, customer service excellence, cost control, and facility maintenance. The Assistant Manager sets the tone of the restaurant's culture and influences team attitude by establishing and maintaining high standards and practices.

This position requires a hands-on approach where you must be competent in working and coaching all positions within the restaurant, from food preparation to customer interaction. You will be tasked with directing subordinate staff to hold them accountable, resolve customer complaints efficiently, and ensure timely opening and closing of the restaurant. Maintaining a clean and safe environment is paramount, including adherence to cash handling procedures and company policies. Administrative duties such as scheduling, food ordering, inventory management, safety checks, and maintenance requests require your oversight as well.

Beyond operational management, you will be entrusted with fostering team development by engaging in employee training, utilizing shift plans for effective crew management, and supporting employee relations in line with company policies. You will monitor product quality through direct communication with customers and crew performance, emphasizing customer courtesy and timely service. Ensuring cleanliness standards throughout the shift and actively participating in training initiatives are also fundamental parts of your responsibilities.

Additionally, you will manage inventory, secure cash and supplies, follow store priorities, and oversee promotions and discounts. The Assistant Manager is expected to drive bank deposits and uphold store security and operational integrity at all times.

This role demands excellent communication, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt to changing scenarios effectively. Proficiency in basic math and computer software such as Word and Excel is essential. A high school diploma or GED along with managerial and customer service experience are required. A valid driver’s license and good driving record are also necessary due to occasional transportation duties.

This position offers a dynamic work environment where leadership skills are pivotal to success. Joining our team means you will be part of a company dedicated to quality and continuous improvement. The Assistant Manager role presents opportunities for career advancement and development in the food service industry. We are committed to supporting our employees with a comprehensive structure that fosters growth and excellence.
