The role of Assistant Manager at Veranda Luxe Cinema is a key management position designed for an individual passionate about leadership and customer service. This part-time, variable schedule role offers an hourly wage of $22.00 and reports directly to the Theater General Manager. The Assistant Manager plays a vital role in supporting daily operations across all areas of the theater including guest services, concessions, box office, kitchen, and ushering services. The primary focus is on ensuring outstanding guest experiences by fostering a guest-friendly environment while leading and mentoring floor staff. Responsibilities include participating in the hiring, training, and performance assessment of team members, managing the daily scheduling and operations, and helping resolve customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and efficiency.

The ideal candidate is someone who demonstrates strong leadership skills, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and a genuine passion for customer service and employee development. The Assistant Manager must maintain consistent work attendance and demonstrate previous experience in senior staff or assistant management roles. Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Some college course work preferred
  • Minimum 1 year customer service experience
  • Minimum 1 year employee supervisory experience

Job Duties

  • Ensures that each guest receives outstanding guest service by providing a guest-friendly environment
  • Performs as well as supervises duties of all areas including concession, box office, kitchen, and usher
  • Recommends, recruits, trains, develops, and assesses performance outcomes of floor staff on a regular basis
  • Supports daily goals, tasks, and assignments
  • Answers customer questions and courteously resolves complaints
  • Conducts daily inventory count and cashes out registers at end of shift
  • Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of the theater
  • Monitors for safety or security issues such as trip hazards, lighting, and suspicious persons
  • Serves alcoholic beverages in compliance with state liquor laws and company policies
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the General Manager
