Job Description
SP Plus, a Metropolis company, is a leading artificial intelligence company focused on creating seamless, checkout-free parking experiences through the use of innovative computer vision technology. We are revolutionizing how people interact with parking by eliminating the need for traditional tickets, machines, apps, or credit cards. Our mission is to make parking effortless—simply drive in and drive out. SP Plus is the largest parking network in America, employing over 23,000 dedicated professionals who manage mobility solutions across more than 4,000 locations throughout North America and Europe. Our vast presence and pioneering technology enable us to shape the future of urban mobility and customer experience.
Currently, we are redefining the parking industry to enhance everyday life. By streamlining parking processes, we help recover the most valuable asset everyone shares—time. Our vision extends beyond parking, aiming to power checkout-free experiences anywhere people live, work, and play, making daily transactions remarkable and frictionless. SP Plus is committed to delivering exceptional client and guest services while maintaining top-tier operational safety and efficiency.
We are hiring for a Valet Manager role based in Truckee, California. This vital position is responsible for overseeing the daily management of the valet operation with a strong focus on providing an excellent guest experience and maintaining outstanding client relationships. The Valet Manager will ensure that the valet team represents a professional and courteous image, creating and executing effective staging plans that optimally use the parking area's layout to maximize parking capacity.
The role involves actively participating in initiatives designed to improve both client and guest satisfaction. The Valet Manager will guarantee timely and exemplary service by expertly assisting guests with various needs, including answering questions, aiding in vehicle access, and safely operating and managing parked vehicles. A thorough understanding of local geography, including major streets, landmarks, and freeways, is essential for seamless valet operations.
In addition to managing the team and daily workflows, this role includes developing staffing schedules in line with anticipated vehicle volumes. The Valet Manager must ensure full adherence to standard operating procedures, safeguarding the security and safety of vehicles and keys at all times. Responsibilities also include handling administrative tasks such as preparing and processing daily paperwork following audit standards, recognizing and reporting accidents or policy violations, reviewing damage claims, and supporting hiring, training, and coaching staff members to maintain high performance.
Flexibility is important, as the Valet Manager may be required to substitute for team members when needed and take on other duties to ensure smooth operation. The role requires physical activity, including standing, walking, occasional sitting, balancing, and lifting objects up to 25 pounds. A valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record is mandatory. The position offers a competitive hourly wage of $23.00 and includes participation in comprehensive benefits plans featuring medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, disability coverage, life and accident insurance, 401k, and paid time off.
This role demands strong interpersonal skills, clear communication, customer service orientation, adaptability to changing environments, and sound judgment. SP Plus is proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering diversity, inclusivity, and fair employment practices. Candidates will benefit from joining a forward-thinking, technology-driven company dedicated to making every parking and mobility experience remarkable.
