Today, Flynn Group stands as the largest Applebee's franchisee in the world, operating over 460 Applebee’s restaurants across 24 states. This impressive expansion is rooted in a strong foundation that has enabled Flynn Group to broaden its reach beyond Applebee's, venturing into other notable brands, countries, and industries. The company owns and operates a diverse portfolio of restaurants under iconic, world-class brands such as Applebee’s, Arby’s, Panera Bread, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Wendy’s, and even Planet Fitness. Through this diversified growth strategy, Flynn Group has emerged as the largest franchise operator globally, committed to excellence across all brands it represents.
Flynn Applebee's is recognized as one of the seven premier brands under the Flynn Group umbrella. The company emphasizes a mission to be the premier operator within each of its brands, guided by core values like Caring Genuinely for People, Playing like a Champion, and Winning as One team. This philosophy permeates through all levels of the organization and fosters a workplace culture that focuses on employee development, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.
The role of an Assistant Manager at Flynn Applebee's is crucial to the daily success of each restaurant. As an Assistant Manager, you will be actively involved in overseeing all aspects of the restaurant’s operations. This includes ensuring that every guest and team member is engaged and passionate about their experience at Applebee's. The position demands exceptional leadership skills, the ability to solve problems creatively, operate efficiently under pressure, and inspire teams to perform at their best. You will be responsible for cultivating an environment that aligns with the company’s values and goals, ensuring smooth operation, and maintaining high standards of service.
This role is dynamic and hands-on, requiring the Assistant Manager to work closely with staff and guests alike. Responsibilities involve scheduling staff to meet demand, maintaining inventory levels, ensuring food preparation and presentation meet company standards, and upholding safety and sanitation protocols. The Assistant Manager plays a key role in recruitment, training, and ongoing development of team members, employing company-approved training programs and performance management techniques. The position also includes tasks such as routine maintenance oversight, cost control, and compliance with legal guidelines.

The role requires a willingness to work in various restaurant positions as needed, including line cooking, bartending, and guest seating, to ensure team efficiency and customer satisfaction. Flynn Group supports continuous leadership growth through structured development programs aimed at enhancing management skills and career advancement.
This full-time position demands flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, and physical stamina to handle the fast-paced restaurant environment. Flynn Group values diversity and inclusion and is committed to creating a workplace that welcomes individuals from all backgrounds. They also offer accommodations during the hiring process to support candidates with disabilities. Joining Flynn Applebee's means becoming part of a large, respected franchisee known for its strong commitment to quality, people, and success.
