Job Description

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of restaurant management experience
- ability to work various shifts including weekends
- ability to stand and move continuously for up to 10 hours
- ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
- strong communication skills
- willingness to work in multiple restaurant positions as needed
- compliance with local, state, and federal laws
- ability to handle stressful situations calmly
- reliable and punctual
- basic computer literacy for daily paperwork and technology use
Job Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years of restaurant management experience
- knowledge of company policies and operational procedures
- strong leadership and team-building skills
- excellent problem-solving and stress management abilities
- effective communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to train and develop staff
- understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
- ServeSafe Food and ServeSafe Alcohol certifications preferred
Job Duties
- Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines
- cultivates a culture in accordance with Flynn Applebee's core values
- ensures immediate response and correction of verbal guest complaints
- ensures guest contact by completing required table visits
- maintains departmental inventory levels
- ensures product preparation and presentation meet company standards
- effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
- maintains safety and security programs
- promotes restaurant organization, cleanliness, and sanitation
- performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs
- promotes quality recruitment and referrals
- supports training procedures for new managers
- maintains trained staff through orientation and training sessions
- participates in employee development and performance evaluations
- assesses employee efficiency and provides feedback
- monitors employee performance and documents disciplinary actions
- ensures compliance with company policies and legal regulations
- controls costs in assigned department
- complies with local, state, and federal guidelines
- manages bi-weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories
- prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
- assures sanitation standards meet Health Department and company standards
- serves as a role model for managers and employees
- develops self in all store-related technology
- works in all restaurant positions as needed
- uses Management Development Program for leadership growth
