Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum 2 to 3 years restaurant management experience
- flexible availability including weekends
- ability to stand and move for up to 10 hours
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely
- effective reading and writing skills
- ability to use small tools and equipment
- willingness to work various shifts
- ability to perform multiple roles within the restaurant
Job Qualifications
- at least 2 to 3 years restaurant management experience
- Serve Safe Food certification preferred
- Serve Safe Alcohol certification preferred
- strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive work environment
- effective communication and interpersonal skills
- experience with employee training and development
- knowledge of health and safety regulations
Job Duties
- ensure timely friendly service according to company guidelines
- cultivate a culture in accordance with Flynn Applebee's core values and beliefs
- respond immediately and correct all verbal guest complaints
- prioritize guest contact and complete required table visits
- maintain departmental inventory levels
- perform line checks to ensure product preparation and presentation meet company standards
- schedule employees effectively to meet sales demands
- maintain safety and security programs
- promote cleanliness and sanitation
- report needed repairs to management
- recruit and refer potential team member and management candidates
- implement training procedures for new managers
- train staff using orientation sessions and employee meetings
- develop employees through one-on-one meetings and performance documentation
- provide regular feedback and work on employee development
- monitor employee performance and document disciplinary actions
- ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- control costs in assigned department
- comply with local, state, and federal laws and guidelines
- conduct bi-weekly or weekly food and liquor inventories as requested
- prepare and submit accurate daily paperwork
- maintain sanitation standards meeting health department and company standards
- act as a role model for managers and employees
- develop self on store-related technology
- work in all positions and assist team members as needed
- use Management Development Program for leadership growth
