Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years of restaurant management experience
- Ability to work various shifts including weekends
- Capability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely
- Basic reading and writing proficiency
- Dexterity to use small tools and equipment
- Willingness to work in various restaurant positions as needed
Job Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- Serve Safe Food certification is a plus
- Serve Safe Alcohol certification is a plus
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage and motivate a team
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Experience in employee training and development
- Ability to handle stressful situations effectively
Job Duties
- Ensure timely friendly service according to company guidelines
- Cultivate a culture based on Flynn Applebee's core values
- Respond immediately to and correct all verbal guest complaints
- Conduct required table visits to prioritize guest contact
- Maintain departmental inventory levels
- Perform line checks to ensure product preparation and presentation meet standards
- Schedule employees effectively to meet sales demands
- Maintain effective safety and security programs
- Promote and lead restaurant cleanliness and sanitation
- Perform routine maintenance and report needed repairs
- Promote quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members
- Facilitate training procedures for new managers
- Maintain a trained staff through orientation and individual training
- Develop employees through performance feedback and documentation
- Monitor employee performance and document disciplinary actions
- Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations
- Control costs in assigned departments
- Conduct food and liquor inventories as requested
- Prepare and submit accurate daily paperwork
- Maintain sanitation standards to meet or exceed health department requirements
- Provide a role model for managers and staff
- Develop skills on store-related technology
- Willingness to work in all positions and assist team members as needed
- Use the Management Development Program for leadership growth
