The role in question, Assistant Restaurant Manager, plays a critical part in managing restaurant operations collaboratively with the Restaurant Manager or independently when necessary. Detailed duties include recruiting, selecting, training, developing, and evaluating restaurant employees, maintaining optimal staffing levels, and ensuring adherence to training protocols on various operational workstations. The Assistant Restaurant Manager actively works to foster a restaurant environment that is friendly, fun, clean, and safe, promoting a respectful workplace where employees are inspired and motivated to excel. They also handle food quality, safety standards, and guest services by managing daily operations to achieve outstanding restaurant performance and guest satisfaction. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of relevant experience within restaurant operations for internal candidates
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Assistant Manager role for external candidates
- Completion of Assistant Manager training
- ServSafe certification
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic math competency
- Ability to analyze data and make decisions
- Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle
- Ability to stand and walk for 85 to 95 percent of the shift
- Ability to lift and carry 10-65 pounds
- Capability to operate restaurant equipment and computer
- Demonstrated integrity and ethical conduct
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Shift Leader or Assistant Manager for internal candidates
- Minimum of 3 years experience as an Assistant Manager with some P&L responsibility for external candidates
- Must be 18 years old or older
- Must complete Assistant Manager training classes
- ServSafe certified
- Ability to speak, read, and write effectively in English
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform basic math
- Proven analytical skills
- Good organization and planning skills
- Self-starter who takes initiative
- Working knowledge of personal computers and related software

Job Duties
- Recruits, selects, trains, develops, and evaluates restaurant employees
- Monitors staffing levels to ensure sufficient development and talent
- Ensures systems for training employees on workstations are fully implemented and adhered to
- Identifies and develops internal candidates for management and Team Leader positions
- Works with restaurant team to ensure effective execution of 'My Promise to You' and the Service Profit Chain
- Creates a restaurant environment that is friendly, fun, clean, and safe
