The role of Assistant Restaurant Manager at Jack in the Box is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations, either in conjunction with or in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Shift Leader or Assistant Manager internally
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as an Assistant Manager externally
  • 100% certification in all workstations
  • At least 18 years old
  • Completion of Assistant Manager training classes
  • ServSafe certification
  • English fluency in speaking, reading, and writing
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to perform basic math
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good organizational and planning abilities
  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • Working knowledge of computers and software
  • Valid driver’s license and insurance
  • Ability to operate a personal vehicle for work purposes
  • Ability to stand and walk 85-95% of shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Must complete Assistant Manager training classes

Job Duties

  • Recruits, selects, trains, develops, and evaluates restaurant employees
  • Monitors staffing levels to ensure sufficient development and talent
  • Ensures systems for training employees on workstations are fully implemented and adhered to
  • Identifies and develops internal candidates for management and Team Leader positions
  • Ensures effective execution of the Service Profit Chain and Brand Promise
  • Creates a friendly, fun, clean, and safe restaurant environment
  • Motivates and inspires employees to achieve high performance
  • Recognizes and rewards employees appropriately
  • Complies with all state and federal labor laws and regulations
  • Manages daily restaurant activities to achieve operational performance excellence
  • Ensures guests receive exceptional experience through proper training and accountability
  • Monitors adherence to food safety and quality requirements
  • Responds to guest concerns and complaints professionally and timely
  • Maintains positive brand image by consistent food quality, service, and cleanliness
  • Partners with Restaurant Manager to analyze operational and financial performance
  • Develops and executes action plans to increase sales and profitability
  • Monitors costs and adherence to budget and goals
