Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent required
  • associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • minimum of 1 year experience as a Shift Leader or 1 year experience as an Assistant Manager in a customer service environment for internal promotions
  • must be 100% certified in all workstations
  • minimum of 3 years experience as an Assistant Manager with some P&L responsibility for external recruits
  • must be at least 18 years old
  • must complete Assistant Manager training classes
  • must be ServSafe certified
  • ability to speak, read, and write English effectively
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • ability to perform and understand basic math concepts
  • proven analytical skills
  • good organization and planning skills
  • self-starter who takes initiative and accepts responsibility
  • working knowledge of personal computers and related software
  • must possess valid driver’s license, insurance, and use personal vehicle for bank deposits and travel
  • demonstrates integrity and ethical behavior

Job Duties

  • recruit, select, train, develop, and evaluate restaurant employees
  • monitor staffing levels and ensure employee development
  • ensure training systems are implemented and adhered to
  • identify and develop internal candidates for management positions
  • create a friendly, fun, clean, and safe restaurant environment
  • motivate and inspire employees to achieve high performance
  • recognize and reward employees appropriately
  • ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations
  • manage daily restaurant operations for excellent performance
  • ensure exceptional guest experience
  • maintain visibility and interaction with guests
  • respond to and resolve guest concerns professionally
  • maintain consistent food quality, cleanliness, and maintenance
  • analyze operational and financial performance
  • develop and execute action plans to increase sales and profitability
  • monitor costs and budget adherence
  • maintain and foster the Jack in the Box culture and values
  • train, coach, and develop employees
  • provide performance feedback and recognition
  • ensure food quality and safety
  • adjust to changing priorities and manage conflict
  • perform other related duties as assigned
