The role of Assistant Manager of Security at MGM Resorts International is pivotal to maintaining the safety and integrity of the casino and overall resort environment. Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Ability to obtain licensure from New York State Gaming Commission
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in security, law enforcement, or military
  • Available to work varied shifts including day, swing, grave, weekends and holidays
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of investigative reporting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and security management software

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of direct security experience in a leadership role in high-end resort, casino, law enforcement or military
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in investigative reporting
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and security management software
  • Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to obtain proper licensure as required by the New York State Gaming Commission
  • Experience in casino or high-stakes security environment preferred

Job Duties

  • Manage security officers, department operations, and support staff, including interviewing, hiring, scheduling, training, evaluating, enforcing policy, and administering discipline and coaching as needed
  • Plan, develop, and direct staff work assignments and station coverage
  • Oversee guest and employee safety by promoting a safe and secure environment and enforcing state, local, regulatory, and company policies
  • Act as a liaison with outside agencies during security incidents
  • Assist and coordinate onsite investigations
  • Monitor and support security-related processing
  • Address guest questions and concerns promptly by coordinating with appropriate departments or management
  • Respond to guest and employee emergencies and threats, document incidents, and ensure proper escalation
