Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area
- or 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
- 1 year experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area
- ability to work full time

Job Qualifications

- proficiency in using guest information tracking systems
- ability to work full time in a management role
Job Duties
- Open and close front desk and housekeeping shifts ensuring completion of assigned shift checklists
- run and review critical room operations reports
- understand and support functions of recreation, laundry, housekeeping, bell staff, AYS, front desk, and concierge operations
- operate department equipment and report malfunctions
- ensure employees have proper supplies and uniforms
- understand night audit procedures and use reports as necessary
- comply with loss prevention policies and procedures
- communicate performance expectations to employees
- handle employee questions and concerns
- schedule employees to meet business demands and track time and attendance
- supervise same day selling procedures to maximize room revenue and occupancy
- verify accuracy of room rates to maximize revenue
- use budgets, operating statements, and payroll reports to assist in managing room operations
- participate in managing departmental controllable expenses
- understand impact of room operations on overall property financial goals
- assist in investigation of employee and guest accidents
- use guest information tracking system to support repeat guest recognition
- set a positive example for guest relations
- interact with guests to obtain feedback and handle complaints
- review comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees
