This entry-level management position focuses on supporting the day-to-day operations of Rooms Operations, including Housekeeping, Recreation, Laundry, Staff, AYS, and Concierge/Guest Services. The role is designed to facilitate smooth operations by assisting with guest arrival and departure procedures while ensuring property cleanliness standards are consistently met. The position requires close collaboration with employees, monitoring shift activities, managing productivity, and striving to enhance both guest and employee satisfaction. Additionally, the role involves contributing to budgetary management by supervising room revenue practices, analyzing occupancy reports, and managing departmental expenses to meet financial goals.
The candidate will be responsible for opening and closing front desk and housekeeping shifts, completing shift checklists, and using room operations reports effectively. Understanding and operating department equipment, ensuring employee supplies and uniforms are available, and comprehending night audit procedures are also key components. This position plays a pivotal role in loss prevention compliance and employee scheduling while handling questions and concerns to maintain high operational standards.
With an hourly pay range of $27.50 to $31.25, Marriott offers an extensive benefits package, including a bonus program, comprehensive health care benefits, a 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match, and an employee stock purchase plan at a 15% discount. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 years experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 1 year experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related area
- Ability to handle employee scheduling and time attendance
- Knowledge of loss prevention policies
- Ability to operate department equipment
- Experience with guest complaint handling
- Strong organizational skills
