Job Description
Steel City Pizza Company is a vibrant and rapidly growing restaurant known for its dedication to exceptional hospitality, quality food, and a welcoming atmosphere. As a prominent player in the hospitality industry, Steel City Pizza Company prides itself on fostering a culture where leadership is not confined by titles but demonstrated through active presence, care, and ownership. The company believes in developing leaders who are deeply engaged with both the team and the guest experience, ensuring that every shift operates harmoniously and every guest feels valued. Their culture revolves around the STEEL Core Values: Service, Teamwork, Enthusiasm, Excellence, and Leveling Up. These values emphasize treating guests with utmost respect, working together as a unified team, maintaining positive energy, upholding high standards, and continuously learning and improving.
This philosophy creates an environment where leaders step up naturally, paying attention to the room, supporting teammates, and taking responsibility for the overall pace and vibe of the restaurant. Leadership at Steel City Pizza Company is about much more than managing tasks; it’s about influencing the experience and lifting the team to new levels of performance and pride.
The role of a Restaurant Manager at Steel City Pizza Company is both dynamic and impactful. A restaurant manager is entrusted with the comprehensive leadership of daily operations, overseeing both the front and back of house teams to ensure seamless service and superior food quality. This person leads from the floor—engaging with guests and staff in real time, rather than from an office. The Restaurant Manager fosters teamwork, balances the needs of kitchen and dining room, and sets an energetic and supportive tone for the entire team. They actively coach and mentor staff, building a cohesive team that shares pride in their work and commitment to excellence.
In this leadership role, the manager also collaborates closely with the General Manager to drive sales, manage costs, and align operational goals with the company’s profitability and culture objectives. They serve as the Manager on Duty during shifts, taking full responsibility for maintaining standards, resolving issues promptly, and supporting both guest experience and kitchen execution with calm efficiency.
Steel City Pizza Company offers a competitive salary and quarterly bonus, reflecting their commitment to rewarding leadership and operational excellence. Additional benefits include health, dental, vision, and life insurance, paid time off starting with 10 days in the first year, meal credits during every shift, and a monthly meal allowance. The restaurant maintains family-friendly hours with no late nights, closing at 9pm on weekdays and 10pm on weekends, highlighting their dedication to work-life balance.
This position is perfect for individuals who already embody the spirit of leadership—who do not wait to be told what to do but take initiative, who can foster an inclusive and high-performing team environment, and who put hospitality and guest satisfaction at the core of everything they do. Joining Steel City Pizza Company means becoming part of a team that values ownership, presence, and genuine hospitality, with plenty of opportunities to grow, learn, and help others succeed.
