The Restaurant Assistant Manager role at Love's is essential for maintaining smooth and efficient restaurant operations, helping to lead staff and manage daily processes effectively. As a Restaurant Assistant Manager, you will play a critical part in ensuring the restaurant operates safely, cleanly, and in compliance with food safety standards. You will oversee facilities and equipment maintenance, support effective inventory control, and help drive sales through efficient ordering and food preparation practices. The position requires a hands-on team leader who can assist the Restaurant Manager with maintaining tasks such as scheduling, cash integrity, and reporting, while also contributing to talent acquisition efforts. Strong financial acumen is necessary to interpret profit and loss statements and implement changes to improve business outcomes. Customer service excellence is paramount, as the role involves preparing and packaging orders promptly to meet or exceed expectations.

This dynamic position suits individuals with at least 1 year of restaurant management experience, including oversight of operations with annual sales exceeding $1 million. Candidates should have experience managing budgets and P&L statements and supervising a team of 5 to 10 or more employees. Intermediate computer skills are required, specifically with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel. A valid driver’s license and the ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screenings are mandatory. The job demands excellent communication, organizational capabilities, multitasking proficiency, and strong teamwork skills. Physical stamina is also essential due to the regular need for standing, walking, bending, lifting items over 75 pounds, and other activity requirements.

Job Duties

  • Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained facility through facilities and equipment maintenance along with adherence to proper food safety procedures
  • Drive sales of products and services through efficient ordering, stocking, inventory management, and food preparation
  • Assist the Restaurant Manager with proper task execution and completion, schedule and cash integrity, and complete daily, weekly, and monthly reporting
  • Work with the team to prepare and package customer orders in a timely manner to maximize customer service expectations and results
  • Understand financial reporting to include analyzing profit and loss statements and affecting change to capture and capitalize on opportunities
  • Collaborate with Restaurant Manager in the efforts of talent acquisition
