The organization strongly emphasizes family values and cultivates an environment where associates are inspired to improve both their personal and professional lives. Panda Express offers more than just a job; it provides a career path and continuous opportunities for growth, development, and community impact.

The role of Assistant Manager at Panda Express is a dynamic leadership position essential to the successful operation of a single store. This role involves overseeing day-to-day store activities with a focus on achieving financial targets while ensuring an exceptional guest experience. As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for hiring, managing, and directing store associates. The position requires someone who can lead effectively, make decisive operational decisions, and uphold the company’s high standards for customer service and food quality.

This hands-on training covers all necessary aspects of store leadership and management and is supported by ongoing career development and mentorship from experienced leaders within the Panda community. Candidates will have the chance to engage with a strong, supportive team culture that values continuous education, leadership growth, and community engagement.

Beyond leadership and management responsibilities, the Assistant Manager role offers the personal satisfaction of being part of an industry leader that values its associates’ well-being. Panda Express provides a generous compensation package which includes bonuses and a variety of benefits such as free meals while working, medical, vision, and dental insurance, short-term disability, and cancer income protection insurance for full-time associates. Additional perks include paid time off, paid holidays, bereavement leave, discounts on theme parks and gym memberships, and a 401K plan with a company match.

The company is also proud to support its associates with continuous education assistance, scholarships, and a lucrative referral bonus program. The workplace environment is fast-paced and demands physical endurance, including the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work under varied temperatures and conditions. Candidates must meet flexible scheduling requirements including working weekends and be able to work within a 50-mile radius of the store.

Panda Express strongly advocates for diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace, ensuring a welcoming environment for all employees regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, religion, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
