This role requires someone who can effectively support training initiatives, uphold Johnny Rockets' stringent standards on guest service, food quality, safety protocols, cleanliness, and sanitation, and manage critical restaurant activities including opening and closing procedures. As Assistant Manager of Guest Experience, you will be responsible for ensuring every guest feels valued and appreciated as you anticipate their needs and oversee the team’s performance.

Your responsibilities will include empowering team members to deliver outstanding interactions, maintaining seamless communication about restaurant operations, and demonstrating decisive action by proposing alternative solutions when challenges arise. You are expected to help maintain food safety certifications and encourage a culture of continuous improvement. Job Requirements

  • a high school diploma or GED
  • two to three years of relevant restaurant management experience
  • a valid driver license with a clean driving record
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • set a positive guest-focused atmosphere in collaboration with the general manager to empower team members
  • support and mentor the management team and crew fostering teamwork
  • oversee training efforts and ensure a well-prepared crew for serving guests
  • maintain Johnny Rockets standards regarding guest service food quality and safety protocols
  • ensure the restaurant upholds the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation
  • keep the communication flowing regarding all restaurant activities
  • act decisively when needed and propose alternative solutions
  • manage the opening and closing operations of the restaurant effectively
  • assist with managing food safety certifications and uphold required standards
  • engage with guests ensuring they feel valued and appreciated at all times
  • anticipate guest needs and assess situations from their perspective
  • observe team members during guest interactions providing recognition for positive service and coaching for improvements as needed
