Job Description

Panda Express, a renowned leader in the fast-casual dining industry, is on the lookout for experienced and dynamic leaders to join their store management team. Established in 1983 in Glendale, California, Panda Express has grown to become the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States, with nearly 2,800 locations worldwide. The brand is deeply committed to delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences while fostering an organizational culture grounded in family values and community engagement. Panda Express prides itself on its dedication to both the professional and personal growth of its associates by offering comprehensive paid Store Management Leadership Training, mentorship, and a strong support network through the Panda community. This commitment ensures that every team member is equipped with the necessary skills and guidance to thrive and succeed in their roles.

The role of Assistant Manager at Panda Express is vital to the smooth and successful operation of a single store. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and directing store associates, overseeing hiring processes, and driving the store to meet its financial and customer service goals. Beyond managing daily operations, this role emphasizes delivering exceptional guest experiences, ensuring that each visit to the store reflects the quality and standards synonymous with the Panda brand. Prospective Assistant Managers are supported through an intensive 3-week or longer store leadership training program designed to prepare them thoroughly for their responsibilities. The role demands flexibility, as it includes working various shifts that may encompass early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on business needs. There is also an expectation of mobility, with candidates needing to be flexible to relocate within a 50-mile radius of their home if required. The position requires handling fast-paced and demanding work conditions, including operating kitchen equipment, preparing food safely under health regulations, and meeting physical demands such as lifting heavy items and prolonged standing. Panda Express is not only committed to developing talent but also ensuring an inclusive, respectful workplace adhering to ADA standards and equal employment opportunity laws. This role offers a chance to join a company that truly values its people, promotes growth, and delivers outstanding dining experiences globally.
