Panda Express is currently seeking experienced leaders to join its store management team by filling the position of Assistant Manager. This role is essential to the store's success, as the Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of a single store location. This position encompasses managing and directing associates, hiring team members, achieving financial objectives, and ensuring that every guest receives an outstanding dining experience. The Assistant Manager will play a key role in creating and maintaining a positive team environment that aligns with the company’s mission and values.

To prepare new hires for success, Panda Express provides paid Store Management Leadership Training, which lasts for three or more weeks. This comprehensive training includes mentorship opportunities and ongoing support from the Panda community. Working at Panda Express as an Assistant Manager requires a flexible work schedule, which may include working weekends and at different store locations within a 50-mile radius. Candidates are required to be Serve Safe certified, emphasizing the importance of food safety and compliance within the fast-paced kitchen environment.

The physical demands of the position should also be noted. Assistant Managers must be able to stand for long periods, work quickly and accurately in a bustling kitchen, and lift up to 50 pounds. They must handle various kitchen tools, including Chinese cook knives, and navigate busy, often noisy kitchen and storage areas. The role demands excellent verbal communication skills, adaptability to changing priorities, and the ability to effectively manage difficult situations and conflicts.
