They embrace a culture where associates feel inspired to better their lives while delivering outstanding Asian dining experiences to their customers. As a rapidly expanding business, Panda Express remains committed to providing career opportunities with substantial training, mentorship, and a supportive community for its team members.
Joining Panda Express as an Assistant Manager means becoming an integral part of the store management team responsible for assisting with the overall operation of a single store. This leadership role is designed for experienced and highly motivated individuals who are eager to contribute to the success of each store while driving financial goals and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. The Assistant Manager will lead, hire, manage, and direct associates to meet and exceed operational expectations. To ensure success in the position, Panda Express provides comprehensive paid Store Management Leadership Training for a duration of three or more weeks, in addition to ongoing mentorship and support from the Panda community.
The role requires flexibility, resilience, and strong interpersonal skills. An Assistant Manager will be actively involved in daily operations, including staffing, overseeing food safety measures, managing guest relations, and maintaining store standards. The fast-paced work environment demands the ability to adapt quickly to a dynamic setting, manage conflicts effectively, and maintain accuracy while working efficiently. The position also includes physical demands such as standing for extended periods and lifting weights up to 50 pounds. Candidates must demonstrate excellent verbal communication skills and a commitment to upholding the company’s mission and values.
Moreover, working as an Assistant Manager at Panda Express provides the unique opportunity to work within a globally recognized organization that values community, diversity, and inclusion. Panda Express actively complies with all federal, state, and local laws regarding workplace accommodations and equal opportunity employment. The company proudly adheres to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), ensuring that all qualified applicants receive fair consideration and reasonable accommodations upon request. This commitment reinforces Panda Express’s dedication to creating an equitable workplace where all employees can thrive.
Employment type for this role is typically full-time with a variable schedule, including weekends, with a work location within a 50-mile radius of the candidate’s residence. Having a food safety certification such as Serve Safe is required to comply with health and safety regulations and to maintain service quality and customer satisfaction.
