We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at the Dalton, GA IHOP restaurant. This leadership role is perfect for someone with a strong background in the food industry, especially within quick service dining environments, who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and capable of managing restaurant operations efficiently. As Assistant Manager, you will support the Restaurant Manager by overseeing daily operations, including staff training and development, inventory control, financial management, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations. This position requires someone who can lead by example, foster a positive work environment, and continuously seek ways to enhance the guest experience. The role involves managing the flow of the restaurant during the General Manager’s absence and striving to meet sales and profit goals while maintaining customer satisfaction. This position offers a competitive starting pay between $15.50 and $16 per hour, depending on experience, with weekend and evening shifts required. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior management experience in the food service industry
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work weekends and some nights
  • strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • willingness to adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards
  • capacity to handle physical demands of the job including standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Management experience, preferably in a fast-paced, casual dining environment
  • proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
  • willingness to undergo a background check upon hire
  • valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • leadership skills

Job Duties

  • Run your assigned restaurant alongside or in the absence of the general manager
  • manage the flow of all restaurant operations, ensuring that budgeted sales and profit goals are consistently being met
  • handle finances and make a daily run to the bank when needed
  • implement training programs for your hourly team members
  • improve unit operations and the overall guest experience
  • assist with strategizing and executing annual financial, local restaurant marketing, guest service, and human resource objectives for your assigned unit
  • help with the recruitment, training, and retention of all team members to keep your food service team going strong
  • ensure that there are always adequate levels of food, paper, kitchen, safety, janitorial, uniform, linen, and other miscellaneous supplies
  • stay in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations by being diligent about correct sanitation practices and safety measures
  • verify that all equipment and the structure of the building are always in working shape and meet all federal guidelines
