This opportunity is for the role of Assistant Manager of Hospitality, a vital leadership position within Sheetz stores. As an Assistant Manager, you will be entrusted with maintaining and enhancing the customer experience by ensuring that the company’s hospitality and total customer focus standards are consistently met. You will work closely behind the scenes to supervise operations that affect inventory management, product preparation, promotional activities, production, customer service, and sales performance. The Assistant Manager will have significant responsibility in supporting the Store Manager, including stepping in during their absence to oversee daily operations. This role involves leadership tasks such as recruitment, training, and managing team performance to maintain a motivated and efficient staff. You will address customer inquiries and resolve complaints to uphold the company’s reputation. Moreover, this role requires monitoring compliance with company policies, reviewing customer feedback through multiple channels, and ensuring cleanliness and facility maintenance for an inviting atmosphere. The position also involves inventory management, including proper placement and pricing of merchandise, as well as profit-related duties such as overseeing shrink indicators, lottery sales, stock audits, and waste management.
Sheetz offers an attractive compensation package that includes an additional $1.50 per hour for overnight shifts between 10 PM and 6 AM. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-year degree in a business related field preferred
- One year experience supervising others in a fast food, restaurant, retail or convenience operation preferred
- Successful completion of certification testing as needed
- ServeSafe certification
- Any other legally required certification

Job Duties
- Back-up the Store Manager by providing support on recruitment, selection, training, and performance management of your store work fam
- Have a say in who works, and when
- Handle customer questions, complaints and concerns
- Keep an eye on work fam compliance with Sheetz policies, procedures and programs
- Follow-up with responses from customer service shops, QA audits, secret shops and SMG surveys
- Keep our customers smiling by overseeing timely customer transactions, cleanliness standards of our facilities and stores, and making sure that hospitality standards are ALWAYZ being met
- Check in on end-of-day tasks to make sure they aren’t skipped
- Keep the shelves packed via proper placement, pricing and re-filling of merchandise
- Lead the charge on profit management by overseeing processes such as shrink indicators, lottery, stock audits, vendors, car wash operations and retail waste
