The role of Assistant Manager at Anna's Taqueria is a pivotal position responsible for supporting the Restaurant Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of experience in restaurant or food service management
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Basic computer skills for record keeping
Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts

Job Qualifications

Previous experience in restaurant management or a similar supervisory role
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of food safety standards and health regulations
Basic financial and inventory management skills
Proficiency in conflict resolution and customer service
Ability to motivate and develop a team
Working knowledge of Spanish is a plus but not required

Job Duties

Create a culture of excellent customer service
Resolve customer complaints about food quality or service

Develop a team and procedures to assist you in the smooth, daily operation of the taqueria
Guide and coordinate the work and activities of staff
Ensure compliance with all management laws and regulations
Perform frequent checks to ensure consistent high quality of preparation, product, and service
Supervise portion control and quantities of preparation to minimize waste
Estimate food consumption, place orders with suppliers, and schedule delivery of fresh food and beverages
Check quality of deliveries of fresh food and supplies
Provide a fresh, pleasant, and comfortable dining environment at this location
Direct cleaning of kitchen and dining areas to maintain sanitation standards and keep appropriate records
Monitor actions of staff and customers to ensure health and safety standards and regulations are obeyed
Arrange for maintenance and repair of equipment and other services
Manage inventory, track staff schedules, pay, and perform other record keeping tasks
Help grow and streamline the existing business
