Job Description

Healthy Living is a locally owned, independent chain of supermarkets located in Vermont and New York. With a commitment to excellence, this company serves its local communities by offering innovative, healthful, and delicious food options while fostering strong relationships with local farmers and producers. Healthy Living is not just a place to shop but a vibrant community hub where people gather to buy groceries, enjoy meals, and work alongside passionate team members. The company’s mission centers around fueling a passion for great food, health, and well-being while maintaining an inviting atmosphere with exceptional hospitality. Their focus on sustainability, community engagement, and support of local enterprises has positioned Healthy Living as a trusted and respected leader in the grocery retail sector within the regions it serves.

The role of Assistant Manager - Guest Services at Healthy Living plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth operations of the supermarket's Front End department. This leadership position demands an individual who excels in team motivation, guest service, and operational oversight. The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting daily front-end operations, often stepping in during the Guest Services Manager’s absence, and ensures that all team members are well-trained in POS (Point of Sale) systems, guest service standards, and the company's policies. Beyond managing logistics and staff schedules, the role emphasizes creating a welcoming environment that enhances guest experiences and builds lasting relationships with customers.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work full-time with a fixed schedule that requires availability during mornings, evenings, and weekends. The pay starts at $23 per hour, with consideration given to previous experience. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with excellent organizational and communication skills, capable of balancing guest interaction, team leadership, and operational duties effectively. Healthy Living welcomes individuals passionate about food, service, and community, and who are dedicated to fostering a positive, collaborative team culture. Staff members can also expect numerous benefits, including comprehensive health insurance, dental and vision coverage, paid time off, and generous store discounts, among others. The company culture prioritizes enthusiasm, accountability, continuous improvement, and a genuine desire to make both coworkers’ and guests’ days better. Joining Healthy Living means becoming part of a respected team that values diversity, inclusivity, and personal growth within a mission-driven organization.
