Job Requirements

  • Minimum two years of experience as a supervisor in food services
  • Current ServSafe certificate
  • Knowledge of cash handling, food services, HACCP, BUS 49, JC, safety, and sanitation
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend standard English
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse groups
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive movements
  • Ability to conduct monthly inspections of the cafeteria
  • Ability to control cost by reviewing portion control and quantity of preparation minimizing waste while ensuring high quality
  • Ability to facilitate regular staff meetings and training sessions
  • Knowledge of operation and evaluation of foodservice equipment and techniques
  • Ability to communicate job expectations and maintain job performance standards
  • Ability to resolve employee issues through analysis and problem-solving

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of experience as a supervisor in food services
  • Hospital experience highly preferred
  • Must have a current ServSafe certificate
  • Knowledge of cash handling, food services, HACCP, BUS 49, Joint Commission, safety, and sanitation
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend standard English
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with co-workers, customers, supervisors, managers, and staff
  • Ability to perform physical tasks involving standing, stretching, bending, walking, stooping, and reaching repetitively
  • Ability to communicate job expectations, plan, monitor, appraise job results, and maintain quality service
  • Ability to resolve employee problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending actions
  • Ability to organize and work independently with minimum supervision
  • Ability to establish priorities and monitor progress
  • Ability to adjust to fluctuating workload and adhere to flexible work schedules

Job Duties
