The role of Events Assistant Manager at Treasury Wine Estates is a pivotal position responsible for ensuring operational excellence at every stage of event planning and execution. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing event logistics across a variety of occasions such as corporate functions, weddings, VIP tastings, and brand activations. The Events Assistant Manager acts as an on-site host and representative of TWE, leading the team by managing staff, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. Responsibilities extend beyond event day activities to include conducting client and vendor site inspections, coordinating staffing needs, and leveraging event management software for seamless event coordination. Additionally, this role involves collaborating across departments with weekly meetings involving Events, Hospitality, and Trade Education teams, contributing to new event concepts, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. As the Safety Lead within the Events Department, the Assistant Manager upholds safety standards to ensure a secure environment for all participants. This position not only demands expertise in event operations but also a passion for fostering brand engagement and wine sales during events. It requires extended availability for events, including holidays and weekends, and a proactive approach to managing inventory, corporate gifting, and special projects. The anticipated base compensation for this position ranges from $26.44 to $34.13 per hour, complemented by potential incentive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package based on several factors including experience and qualifications.

Job Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience in events, hospitality, or restaurant service
- People management experience preferred
- Highly organized, resourceful, and self-motivated
- Ability to present confidently to groups of all sizes
- Professional brand-aligned presence
- Wine and food knowledge
- Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and hospitality
- Valid California driver’s license
- Availability for extended hours, holidays, and weekends
- Regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear
- Frequently required to stand and walk, including standing for long periods during event days
- Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds

Job Duties
- Responsible for operational excellence across all phases of event planning and execution
- Leads event logistics for on-site events including corporate functions, weddings, VIP tastings, and TWE brand activations
- Conducts site inspections with clients and vendors
- Oversees event setup, execution, and breakdown
- Acts as the on-site host and TWE representative, directing staff, resolving issues, and ensuring premium guest experiences
- Manages client relationships before, during, and after events
- Coordinates staffing needs including booking temporary staff when required
