The role of Events Assistant Manager at Treasury Wine Estates is pivotal in enabling operational excellence throughout all phases of event planning and execution. This position is responsible for leading event logistics on-site, managing a diverse range of events such as corporate functions, weddings, VIP tastings, and branded activations. The Assistant Manager serves as the primary contact for clients and vendors, conducting site inspections and ensuring seamless event setup, operation, and breakdown. Acting as the official TWE host during events, this role involves directing staff, resolving on-the-spot issues, and guaranteeing premium guest experiences. Additionally, the position entails managing client relationships throughout the event lifecycle, coordinating staffing requirements, partnering with external vendors, and utilizing TWE's event management software for precise event updates. Weekly cross-functional meetings are coordinated with teams in Events, Hospitality, and Trade Education to foster communication and improvement. The role promotes wine sales during events, supports safety leadership within the department, collaborates on new event concepts and private event enhancements, and assists with inventory audits and corporate gifting efforts. This demanding role requires a highly organized, resourceful, and confident individual who can gracefully handle challenging situations in a hospitality-centered environment. Compensation for this role ranges from $26.44 to $34.13 per hour, with eligibility for incentive compensation, bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package. Job Duties
- Responsible for operational excellence across all phases of event planning and execution
- lead event logistics for on-site events including corporate functions, weddings, VIP tastings, and TWE brand activations
- conduct site inspections with clients and vendors
- oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown
- act as on-site host and TWE representative directing staff, resolving issues, ensuring premium guest experiences
- manage client relationships before, during, and after events
- coordinate staffing needs including booking temporary staff when required
- partner with vendors
- support event planning by confirming client details
- utilize TWE's event management software to update event details
- host weekly cross-functional meetings with Event, Hospitality, and Trade Education teams and provide recaps
- promote wine sales during events including shipping and carry-out opportunities
- serve as Safety Lead for the Events Department
- collaborate on new event concepts and enhancements to TWE's private event offerings including crafting vision boards
- support special projects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- conduct regular inventory audits and maintain organized storage areas
- provide corporate gifting support
