The role of Assistant Manager, Entertainment Operations - Streets at NBCUniversal is a pivotal position responsible for supporting the management of the Entertainment Streets Department. This role involves overseeing various operational aspects, both front and back of house, with a primary focus on ensuring smooth daily operations, managing finances, and resolving challenges related to guests and team members. The Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in cultivating a professional, collaborative, and motivating work environment that prioritizes teamwork and employee engagement. Responsibilities include supervising staff at specific show venues or areas, managing labor and non-labor budgets, maintaining operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

In addition to daily operational oversight, this role requires involvement in project management and short to mid-range planning, assisting the department manager with strategic initiatives and future success plans. The Assistant Manager ensures that all compliance training and standard operating procedures are up-to-date and that team member and guest satisfaction programs are actively implemented and monitored. This position demands strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage supervisors and frontline employees, provide coaching and performance feedback, and maintain positive relationships with union representatives and other department partners.

Physical demands for the role include the ability to work outdoors under varying weather conditions and travel across multiple venues throughout the day. The salary range for this role is between $70,000 and $80,000 annually. Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of operations management experience in entertainment, theme park or hospitality industry
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to walk and travel to multiple venues
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays and nights as required

  • Ability to work independently and multitask effectively
