Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in a managerial role within the food and beverage industry
- ServSafe Manager certification or ability to become certified
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong leadership abilities
Job Qualifications
- Experience in a managerial role within the food and beverage industry, preferably in a restaurant setting
- Must possess ServSafe Manager certification or ability to become certified
- High school diploma or GED
- Associates Degree or higher in Business Administration or related field strongly preferred
- Proven knowledge of food preparation principles, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Proficiency in POS systems and basic financial management software
Job Duties
- Recruits, hires, trains, mentors, and manages cafe department employees
- Supervises and evaluates department's employees to promote growth, efficiency, morale, engagement, and teamwork
- Produces and maintains department's weekly employee shift schedule
- Conducts regular department staff meetings to promote communication and collaboration
- Maintains communication with staff across all departments via central office, phone, email, and virtual meetings
- Oversees daily operations including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment
- Maintains accurate inventory on a weekly and monthly basis
- Prepares orders from vendors to ensure accurate production
- Maintains food production that ensures safety and quality according to policies and company requirements
- Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations
- Ensures safe and organized storage of food and chemicals
- Ensures security of company assets
- Collaborates with cooks and team members to ensure recipe adherence and portion control
- Ensures all food and beverage offerings meet quality and presentation standards
- Implements company marketing strategies
- Ensures exceptional customer service standards
- Addresses customer inquiries and complaints promptly and effectively
- Fosters a friendly and welcoming environment to encourage repeat business
- Operates kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers
- Performs cashier duties as needed
- Other duties as assigned by General Manager or Food and Beverage Director
