The company is deeply committed to teamwork, integrity, excellence, humility, and a unique spirit encapsulated in "Deixa Comigo" (which means "we've got you")—a promise that emphasizes support and care at every level of the organization. As a leader in the hospitality space, Fogo de Chao offers meaningful career paths that support professional growth and personal development for all team members.
The Restaurant Assistant Manager role at Fogo de Chao is a pivotal leadership position that combines operational expertise with a strong customer service focus. This role is responsible for advising and supervising restaurant staff, ensuring that the team is motivated, developed, and retained by fostering a positive work culture. The Assistant Manager will manage guest reservations and wait times using systems such as GuestBridge and OpenTable, maintaining a seamless guest experience. Ensuring compliance with food safety certifications and promoting programs like EcoSure demonstrates a strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.
Additionally, the Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in inventory management, including forecasting and setting targets to optimize restaurant operations. The position demands sharp decision-making skills and flexibility to adapt to changing business needs. The ideal candidate demonstrates competencies such as decisive judgment, effective planning and team management, resilience under pressure, and a passion for exceeding guest expectations. Fogo de Chao expects this professional to actively promote a culture of recognition that motivates the team and drives business results.
This position requires at least 5 years of restaurant operations experience, with preference given to those knowledgeable in churrasco and churrascaria cuisine. It calls for strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with software such as Aloha Point of Sale, Hotschedules, Workday, GuestBridge, and MenuLink. Physical endurance is essential as the role involves lifting items up to 25 pounds and managing high-stress situations with mental acuity and toughness.
In return for your expertise and leadership, Fogo de Chao offers a competitive salary range from $60,000 to $80,000 annually, depending on relevant experience. The company supports full-time team members with comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance starting the first of the month following their start date, along with company-paid life insurance and short-term disability benefits where allowed. Additional voluntary benefits include critical illness coverage, hospital indemnity, accident coverage, permanent life insurance, and pet insurance. Fogo de Chao is an equal opportunity and E-Verify employer, committed to creating an inclusive work environment where everyone feels welcome to bring their best to the table every day.
