Job Description

Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC) is a leading automotive service company committed to providing fast, reliable, and quality oil change and vehicle maintenance services. With a strong presence across the United States, VIOC has built a reputation for excellence by focusing on a customer-first approach and creating an outstanding service experience that distinguishes it from other providers. The company values diversity and inclusivity, fostering a welcoming and supportive work environment for team members from various backgrounds including people of color, women, LGBTQIA+, veterans, and persons with disabilities. This commitment reflects in its hiring practices and workplace culture, making VIOC a progressive and employee-focused organization.

At the Shorewood, Minnesota location, VIOC is seeking a dedicated Assistant Service Center Manager (ASCM) to join their dynamic team. The role is an excellent opportunity for those interested in advancing their careers in automotive services with a company that prioritizes employee growth and development. The ASCM serves as the right hand to the Service Center Manager and plays a pivotal role in leading the team to deliver exceptional service to customers. This includes overseeing daily operations, training and supervising hourly staff, and maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness. VIOC offers competitive weekly pay starting at $22.75 per hour, along with paid on-the-job training, meaning no prior automotive experience is necessary. The schedule is designed to offer a good work-life balance with no late evenings or holiday shifts.

In this position, the Assistant Service Center Manager will engage in hands-on automotive services such as oil changes and other car maintenance tasks, ensuring customers receive prompt and friendly service that encourages repeat business and trust. The ASCM also supports inventory control, labor management, and financial performance tracking of the service center. Employees enjoy numerous benefits including paid time off, holiday pay, tuition and certification assistance, access to a free online university, medical and prescription drug coverage with health savings account contributions, dental and vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan with a 100% match up to 5%. Valvoline also provides company uniforms and tools, a 50% discount on automotive services, back-up child and elder care, and a strong commitment to promoting from within, offering clear pathways for career advancement.

Valvoline Instant Oil Change is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer, dedicated to fairness and diversity in its recruitment process, and committed to providing reasonable accommodations to applicants with disabilities. This role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude towards safety and operational procedures, and the ability to build and nurture a motivated and capable team. Joining VIOC as an Assistant Service Center Manager means becoming part of a supportive 'Vamily' where your growth and success are valued and fostered with comprehensive training and continuous opportunities for professional development. This is more than just a job; it's a chance to develop a rewarding career in the automotive industry with a company that genuinely cares about its people and their futures.
