Job Description

Panda Express is a reputable and prominent leader in the fast-casual dining industry, recognized as the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States. Established in Glendale, California, in 1983, Panda Express has expanded to nearly 2,800 locations globally, consistently delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences to its diverse customer base. The company prides itself on a strong foundation of family values and a commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace culture where associates are inspired to improve both their professional and personal lives. This dedication is evident in Panda's investment in comprehensive training programs, ongoing career development, and a supportive community environment. Panda Express is devoted to equal opportunity employment and embraces diversity across all levels of the organization.

The company is currently seeking experienced leaders to join its store management team as Assistant Managers. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead operations within a single store, contributing to the achievement of financial goals and the continuous delivery of outstanding guest experiences. As an Assistant Manager, you will be instrumental in hiring, managing, and directing associates to create a motivated workforce aligned with Panda Express's standards of excellence. To ensure success, Panda offers an extensive Store Management Leadership Training program lasting three or more weeks, along with mentorship and ongoing leadership development to cultivate your management skills effectively.

This position is a full-time role with an hourly pay range of $22.5 to $25.5, with compensation influenced by work location and experience. Panda Express further enhances this opportunity with a generous compensation package, including bonus opportunities and a variety of benefits such as medical, vision, dental, and disability insurance. Employees enjoy paid time off, paid holidays, and access to a leave share program that supports associates during times of need. Additionally, team members benefit from discounts at popular theme parks and gym memberships, as well as chances to engage in community giving programs.

Working at Panda Express involves a dynamic and fast-paced environment often characterized by hot and noisy kitchen settings where employees are expected to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. The role requires adaptability, effective communication, and conflict management skills. Flexibility in scheduling is essential as work includes weekends and shifts at stores within a 50-mile radius. Successful candidates are required to have a high school diploma and be Serve Safe certified in food safety standards.

Joining Panda Express means becoming part of a family-oriented company that values growth, community, and exceptional service. The organization’s commitment to training, career advancement, and associate well-being makes it an ideal workplace for those passionate about leadership in the food service industry and eager to make a positive impact every day.
