The Assistant Manager position at Applebee's is integral to the daily operations of the restaurant. This role requires hands-on involvement in motivating and leading staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences. As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of service and hospitality, ensuring that guests feel prioritized and valued throughout their visit. Job Requirements
- work various shifts ranging in hours, including weekends
- stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to ten hours in length
- safely lift pots, pans, glassware, boxes up to 50 pounds in weight
- read and write to facilitate communication
- possess finger and hand dexterity for using small tools and equipment
Job Qualifications
- at least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- serve safe food and serve safe alcohol certifications a plus
Job Duties
- ensure timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
- cultivate a culture in accordance with Flynn Applebee's core values and beliefs
- ensure immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
- ensure guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits
- maintain departmental inventory levels
- ensure product preparation and presentation uncompromisingly meeting company standards by performing line checks
- effectively schedule employees to meet sales demands
