Job Description
Our client is a dynamic quick service restaurant recognized for its commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences and quality service. This establishment operates in the fast-paced restaurant industry, focusing on efficiency, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence. The company is dedicated to fostering a positive work environment where leadership, teamwork, and employee development are prioritized, ensuring that every guest enjoys a memorable visit.
The Assistant Manager (AM) position is a pivotal role within the restaurant management team. Serving as the operations leader, the AM plays a critical part in driving restaurant profitability, enhancing guest service, developing team members, and managing daily operations under the guidance of the Restaurant General Manager (RGM). This role requires a strong operational mindset combined with excellent people skills to lead and support the restaurant team effectively.
The AM is responsible for managing inventory costs, ensuring accurate and timely order placements, maintaining restaurant assets, and overseeing preventative maintenance of both the facility and equipment. Additionally, the AM ensures adherence to all cash control and security procedures, contributing to the restaurant's financial integrity and operational compliance.
Creating memorable guest experiences is at the heart of this role. The AM motivates and directs the team to exceed guest expectations by delivering fast, accurate, and friendly service within a clean and welcoming environment. Addressing guest complaints personally and working alongside the RGM to develop action plans aimed at improving guest satisfaction metrics are key responsibilities.
In terms of leadership, the AM engages in the recruitment and interviewing process, conducts new employee orientations, manages team scheduling and onboarding, and actively works to develop shift leaders' skills. Establishing a positive restaurant culture and leading store operations during the absence of the General Manager are additional critical aspects of this position.
Operational duties also involve directing team efforts to ensure efficient product preparation and sale within established speed of service guidelines, upholding brand standards, monitoring workforce planning, and implementing strategies to address employee needs and operational challenges.
This role demands availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays with the capacity to handle long or irregular shifts as needed. Physical demands include the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, tolerate physical postures such as kneeling, and consistently engage in product preparation and inventory tasks.
Overall, the Assistant Manager role offers a rewarding opportunity for individuals passionate about restaurant management, guest service excellence, and team leadership. It provides a platform to develop managerial skills in a vibrant, customer-focused environment while contributing to the success and growth of the restaurant business.
