Job Description
Jack in the Box, Inc. is a well-established American fast-food restaurant chain, renowned for its diverse menu options and commitment to delivering high-quality food and outstanding customer service. Founded in 1951, the company has grown to operate hundreds of locations nationwide, continually evolving to meet the needs of its customers. Jack in the Box prides itself on maintaining a positive customer experience by ensuring its restaurants uphold strict standards of cleanliness, safety, and service excellence. The company fosters an inclusive and supportive work environment, emphasizing employee development and community involvement as key pillars of its corporate culture.
The role of Assistant Restaurant Manager at Jack in the Box is pivotal to the successful daily operation of the restaurant. This position works closely with the Restaurant Manager or independently in their absence, taking responsibility for managing restaurant operations effectively. The Assistant Restaurant Manager plays a critical role in executing the Service Profit Chain (SPC) and ensuring the Brand Promise remains consistently delivered at all times. This includes driving restaurant sales and profit while maintaining compliance with company policies, procedures, and all regulatory requirements. The position demands a hands-on leader who is passionate about recruiting, training, and developing a high-performing team to provide exceptional internal and external service.
As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will be expected to cultivate a positive work environment that is friendly, fun, clean, and safe, treating all employees with care and respect. Motivating and inspiring team members to achieve high performance, while recognizing and rewarding their contributions, is an essential aspect of this role. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring consistent quality in food production, guest service, cleanliness, and overall restaurant maintenance. This role requires strong operational management skills including the utilization of management information systems to monitor financial performance, analyze trends, and implement action plans to boost sales and profitability. You will work collaboratively with the Restaurant Manager and regional support resources to drive improvements and maintain the integrity of the Jack in the Box brand.
This full-time position typically requires working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to ensure operational coverage and customer satisfaction. The Assistant Restaurant Manager will also be expected to uphold all safety standards, labor laws, and company policies, including those related to food safety and employee training. The company offers competitive Compensation Packages that reflect the responsibility and skill required for this role, with opportunities for advancement through demonstrated leadership and operational success. Overall, this is a challenging yet rewarding role for professionals seeking to develop their managerial skills within a dynamic and supportive fast-food restaurant environment.
