This Dunkin' Donuts/Baskin-Robbins restaurant is an independently owned and operated franchise, authorized by DD Franchising LLC and BR Franchising LLC respectively. The Assistant Manager role is critical in supporting the Restaurant Manager to build and sustain a high-performing team dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving profitable top-line sales. Assistant Managers play a hands-on role in all facets of restaurant operations, from team development and guest satisfaction to operational excellence and financial performance.
In terms of team environment, Assistant Managers foster respect among team members, provide coaching and constructive feedback, recognize achievements, and communicate openly to maintain a productive and positive workplace. They assist in recruitment, selection, and training of crew members and shift leaders as guided by the Restaurant Manager. Moreover, they support the growth of team members by ensuring effective cross-training, delegation, and responsibility deployment, while also holding individuals accountable for their behavior and performance.
Operationally, Assistant Managers prioritize guest satisfaction and role model superior customer service standards. They ensure all operational and brand standards are adhered to, including quality, service, and cleanliness. Safety and food handling protocols such as ServSafe certification are also part of their responsibilities. Assistant Managers track the performance of their teams to maintain these high standards consistently.
On the financial side, they actively contribute to driving sales through the execution of marketing initiatives and restaurant standards. They oversee labor costs, food costs, and cash handling procedures to ensure profitability, working closely with the Restaurant Manager to evaluate the restaurant's performance. Action plans are developed and implemented to address opportunities and achieve business goals. Furthermore, they ensure the safety and security of employees and guests by maintaining preventative maintenance and cleanliness standards. Compliance with all restaurant, brand, and franchisee policies is non-negotiable.

Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age where applicable
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Strong math skills for financial management
- Ability to complete ServSafe certification
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Able to clearly express oneself verbally and in writing (English)
- Math and financial management skills
- Restaurant retail or supervisory experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 18 years of age (where applicable)

Job Duties
- Promote a team environment by fostering respect providing coaching and feedback recognizing achievements resolving employee concerns and communicating effectively
- Assist in the recruitment selection and training of crew members and shift leaders as directed by the restaurant manager
- Support development of team members through effective cross training deployment and delegation of responsibilities
- Hold team members accountable for their behavior and performance addressing concerns promptly
- Hold guests as highest priority and role model exceptional guest service
- Ensure brand standards and systems are executed
- Monitor team performance to ensure quality service and cleanliness standards are met at all times
- Complete all required training including ServSafe certification
- Drive sales through effective execution of restaurant standards and marketing initiatives
- Delegate and lead processes to control labor costs food costs and cash
- Ensure the safety and security of team and guests through a focus on preventative maintenance and cleanliness
- Work with restaurant manager to assess restaurant develop action plans to target opportunities and implement plans designed to achieve goals
- Comply with all restaurant brand and franchisee policies
