Job Description

Flynn Applebee's is one of the seven premier brands under the Flynn Group umbrella. As an Applebee's Assistant Manager, you will play a vital role in day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring guests and staff are passionate about their experience every day. The role demands excellent leadership and problem-solving abilities, the capacity to handle stress effectively, and maintaining a positive and fun work environment. With competitive wages ranging from $20.98 to $27.27 per hour, approximately $60,000 to $78,000 annually based on a 50-hour workweek, and potential monthly bonuses depending on location, the position offers rewarding compensation. Additional benefits include profit sharing, medical, dental and vision insurance, 401k with company match, paid vacation, and paid sick leave.

As an Assistant Manager at Applebee's, you will be responsible for overseeing timely, friendly service adhering to company standards and fostering a culture rooted in Flynn Applebee's core values. You will handle guest complaints promptly, maintain inventory, ensure product quality through thorough line checks, and effectively schedule employees to meet business demands. Ensuring safety, security, cleanliness, and sanitation standards are upheld will also be key responsibilities. You will support recruitment efforts, actively participate in training and developing staff, provide constructive feedback, conduct performance evaluations, and manage compliance with all company policies and legal regulations. This role requires flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, and willingness to perform team member duties when needed, such as cooking, seating guests, or bartending. The position also encourages continuous growth through management development programs.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of restaurant management experience
  • ability to work various shifts including weekends
  • capability to stand and move for up to 10 hours
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely
  • effective reading and writing skills
  • finger and hand dexterity for using tools and equipment
  • willingness to perform team member duties as needed

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years of restaurant management experience
  • Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications are a plus
  • strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • ability to handle stressful situations calmly
