The role of Assistant Restaurant Manager at Kundoo Khan is designed for motivated, natural leaders who possess a passion for people and are eager to grow their careers within the hospitality industry. This position works hand-in-hand with the General Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations and to coordinate communication and teamwork among management staff. Key responsibilities involve assisting with recruiting and onboarding front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) team members, supervising their training and development, ensuring standard food preparation procedures, and maintaining the highest quality customer experience. The Assistant Manager plays an essential role in increasing sales by ensuring guest satisfaction, managing inventory, tracking labor and food costs, and maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant.

Job Requirements
- 2-4 year of experience in related food service management position preferred
- High school degree or equivalent preferred
- Food manager certification and/or ServSafe manager certificate required
- Ability to work a flexible full-time schedule based on restaurant needs
- Ability to travel occasionally for meetings, conferences, and training

Job Duties
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of FOH and BOH Team Members
- Assist and supervise the training and development of FOH and BOH Team Members
- Uphold food preparation specifics by ensuring standard operational procedures are followed for consistent delivery of quality food items
- Communicate, train, and educate Team Members and Shift Leaders on all changes or new procedures, processes, products, promotions, or equipment introduced to the restaurant
- Conduct succession planning one-on-ones with designated Team Members
- Ensure Team Members comply with all established standards, including personal safety, food safety, sanitation, personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform
- Manage daily operations of a restaurant shift
- Increase sales by ensuring guest satisfaction and prompt problem resolution
- Ensure food quality and availability
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and stocking in all areas of the restaurant
- Assist in the development of Team Members
- Maintain and build sales
- Conduct and manage inventory
- Place food orders and process invoices
- Track and manage labor and food costs to meet restaurant goals
- Assist in the preparation of work schedules for Team Members
- Manage daily operations of opening, closing and mid shifts
- Maintain restaurant equipment in working order and request service or repair for issues
- Directly responsible for maintaining food safety, personal safety, and sanitation standards for the restaurant according to health department regulations and company standards
- Comply with and maintain personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform standards for all Team Members
- Monitor adherence to all applicable labor laws
- Other projects or duties as assigned by the Restaurant General Manager
