Valvoline values diversity and inclusivity, creating a welcoming workplace for team members from varied backgrounds and experiences. They strongly encourage applications from people of color, women, LGBTQIA+, veterans, and persons with disabilities, underpinning their dedication to building a high-performance, diverse team.
The role of Assistant Service Center Manager (ASCM) at VIOC plays a crucial part in supporting the Service Center Manager and contributing to the overall success and operation of the service center. The ASCM acts as the right hand to the manager, leading by example in both technical and leadership capacities. This position blends hands-on work on vehicles with overseeing a team, offering training, guidance, and supervision to hourly employees. Beyond working on cars and engaging with customers, the ASCM helps foster an exceptional customer service atmosphere that differentiates VIOC from other service providers.
This is a full-time position offering competitive weekly pay, starting at $21.25 per hour. It features paid on-the-job training, meaning no prior automotive experience is necessary. Team members benefit from a flexible schedule without late evenings or holiday shifts, promoting work-life balance. Additionally, the role offers paid time off, holiday pay, and access to tuition and certification assistance, along with an exclusive online university to support career growth. Valvoline also provides comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, prescription drug benefits, and a 401(k) plan with a 100% match up to 5%. Other perks include back-up child and elder care, company-provided uniforms and tools, and a 50% discount on all VIOC automotive services.
The ASCM position requires strong leadership skills as the assistant manager will actively contribute to daily operations, inventory management, labor oversight, and financial performance. Key responsibilities include delivering a positive customer experience from greeting guests to ensuring trust and loyalty. The ASCM is also instrumental in mentoring staff to optimize their development and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Familiarity with environmental, health, and safety compliance is essential to uphold company standards.
Valvoline Instant Oil Change is dedicated to career advancement and offers a clear roadmap for growth within the company. With an award-winning training program, strong safety commitments, and fair workplace values, employees have the opportunity to build long-term careers and progress through various leadership roles. The company's inclusive policies and equal opportunity employment stance reinforce its mission to support every team member's success and development. Overall, the Assistant Service Center Manager role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who seek a rewarding career path in automotive service management, fostering teamwork, outstanding customer service, and continuous professional growth.
