Job Description
This opportunity is offered by a franchisee of Taco Bell, an independent business owner operating under the renowned Taco Bell brand. Unlike Taco Bell Corporation or its affiliates, this franchisee operates autonomously, setting their own wage and benefit programs which may vary from one franchisee to another. This position offers the chance to be employed directly by the franchisee, ensuring a dedicated and focused work environment tailored by the local operator. As a franchisee, they emphasize a strong commitment to quality, customer satisfaction, and efficient restaurant operations within the Taco Bell system, which is well-known globally for its fast-food Mexican-inspired menu items.
The role in question is designed to assist with management responsibilities within the restaurant to maintain operational efficiency and uphold the highest quality standards. As part of the management team, you will play an essential role in ensuring customer satisfaction by providing fast, efficient service along with quality products. Your daily responsibilities will involve creating and maintaining a positive and cooperative atmosphere among employees and customers, which is crucial in the fast-paced restaurant environment. A key focus will be on delivering excellence across four main pillars: quality, service, cleanliness, and hospitality.
You will be expected to supervise shift leaders and team members when acting as the Manager in Charge (MIC), taking charge of operations to ensure a seamless customer experience. This hands-on management support role involves not only overseeing staff but also maintaining operational knowledge of all equipment to ensure the smooth functioning of the restaurant.
The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of fast food operations, production, and deployment procedures. You will have basic knowledge of financial and administrative areas such as sales forecasting, scheduling, cost control, inventory management, and interpreting profit and loss statements. This comprehensive understanding is important to support the franchisee in maximizing operational efficiency and profitability.
Furthermore, you must demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills to effectively work with customers and team members. Maintaining a clean, neat, and well-groomed appearance will be expected to match the high standards of this well-recognized franchise. The role demands the ability to master cash control procedures and insist on adherence to company guidelines in quality, service, cleanliness, and hospitality at all times.
Working under general supervision, the training period for this role typically spans eight to eighteen months, during which you will gain in-depth knowledge of restaurant operations. The position requires continuous interaction with customers and employees, making strong communication and team collaboration crucial components of success.
In terms of physical requirements, this job demands endurance and manual dexterity. It involves standing, walking, lifting objects up to 50 pounds, and stooping for approximately 90 percent of the shift time. You must be able to work rapidly and accurately during busy rush periods and maintain composure under pressure, especially during challenging situations that arise in a dynamic fast food environment.
Working conditions include exposure to varying temperatures and potentially high noise levels, with busy times where food and drink breaks may be restricted. Despite these challenges, the position offers a rewarding opportunity to develop leadership skills, contribute to operational excellence, and actively ensure superior customer satisfaction in a well-supported franchise setting.
