As an Assistant Manager at this KFC restaurant, you play a central role in ensuring the daily operations run smoothly while upholding the integrity of KFC’s brand and customer service principles. This role requires strong leadership abilities, as you will be responsible for motivating, training, and coaching team members to deliver exceptional dining experiences to guests. You will step up to manage daily restaurant operations whenever the Restaurant General Manager is unavailable, making critical decisions that impact both team performance and customer satisfaction. This position offers a balanced and rewarding workweek of 50 hours, including 40 hours at regular pay and an additional 10 hours compensated at time and a half. Your responsibilities will include overseeing food safety standards, handling profit and loss management activities such as cash control and inventory maintenance, and fostering a positive work culture that embraces equity, inclusion, and belonging.

Successful candidates will bring at least two years of restaurant or retail management experience, demonstrating their capability in team leadership, financial oversight, and operational execution. Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of restaurant or retail management experience
  • assist with profit and loss management by following cash control, security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor and reviewing financial reports
  • ensure all employees receive proper training and resources
  • champion KFC's culture and values promoting equity, inclusion and belonging in the restaurant
  • lead efforts in individual and team recognition, collaboration and motivation
  • identify and recruit exceptional talent supporting the Restaurant General Manager in the hiring process
  • possess strong communication skills for conducting performance appraisals, taking disciplinary action and motivating and training employees
  • adhere to corporate policies, procedures and occupational health and food safety standards

Job Duties

  • ensure consistent customer satisfaction by effectively modeling the KFC Connect Success Routine and prioritizing customer needs
  • oversee team members' adherence to shift responsibilities and maintain high food safety standards
  • take charge of restaurant operations in the Restaurant General Manager's absence
  • collaborate with the Restaurant General Manager in assessing team performance and providing ongoing constructive and positive feedback
  • address employee relations issues as they arise and determine immediate resolutions or escalate to the Restaurant General Manager when necessary
  • assist in sourcing, recruiting, interviewing, and hiring team members while driving a culture of equity, inclusion, and belonging
  • assist with profit and loss management including cash control, security procedures, inventory maintenance, and labor management
  • review financial reports and take appropriate actions to optimize performance
  • support the Restaurant General Manager in facility maintenance and ensure health and safety standards are consistently followed
