Duffy's is a well-established restaurant brand known for its commitment to providing high-quality dining experiences and outstanding customer service. Operating in the competitive hospitality industry, Duffy's prides itself on maintaining brand standards that emphasize delicious offerings, friendly guest interactions, and a safe, welcoming environment. With a regional presence and a focus on operational excellence, Duffy's continually strives to enhance both its product and its customer's satisfaction through dedicated management and attentive staff. The company fosters a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement, aiming to deliver a memorable dining experience every time a guest visits any of its locations.
The Assistant Manager role at Duffy's is a critical position responsible for supporting the General Manager and Regional Manager in overseeing the restaurant's daily operations. This leadership role involves planning, directing, and coordinating all non-management personnel activities, ensuring the restaurant operates smoothly and profitably. The Assistant Manager actively monitors food quality, guest services, labor costs, and sales, while maintaining adherence to Duffy's brand policies, employment laws, health and safety regulations, and financial objectives. This position requires a hands-on leader who can demonstrate excellent judgment, coaching abilities, and effective delegation. The Assistant Manager plays a vital part in fostering a positive atmosphere for both employees and customers, promoting the brand's core beliefs and building strong relationships with the team and guests alike.
In this role, the Assistant Manager is expected to ensure exceptional execution of standards in the front of house, conduct regular table visits for quality assurance and guest relations, and maintain a strong presence on the floor to support team members. They will also handle scheduling, staffing needs, food ordering, and inventory management using various operational tools such as Hot Schedules and iControl. The role involves extensive involvement in local marketing initiatives and requires basic knowledge of profit and loss management, accounting functions such as entering invoices, and cash handling procedures.
This position demands adaptability, dependability, and the ability to manage stress effectively while upholding integrity and cooperation within the team. Additionally, the Assistant Manager must focus on clear communication, conflict resolution, and adherence to health inspection standards to ensure the restaurant meets all regulatory requirements. Essential physical functions include standing, lifting, and multitasking in a fast-paced environment with exposure to a range of conditions. Availability for flexible scheduling that includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays is also required, making this a dynamic and engaging leadership opportunity within a respected hospitality brand.
