With a legacy that dates back to the 1930s, KFC continues to be a household name by delivering consistent, flavorful food to millions of customers. The Mesa, Arizona location at 239 N Power Rd is part of this expansive network, embodying the company’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and community engagement. KFC prides itself on fostering an inclusive workplace where team members grow personally and professionally while maintaining a fun and dynamic environment.

The role of the Assistant Manager at this Mesa KFC restaurant is pivotal in ensuring operational success and delivering outstanding customer experiences. As a key leadership position, the Assistant Manager supports the Restaurant General Manager by upholding brand standards, driving team performance, and maintaining high-quality food safety protocols. This position requires someone who leads by example, inspiring and motivating their team through coaching, training, and recognition, helping each team member shine and contribute to the restaurant’s overall success.

In this full-time role, the Assistant Manager works approximately 50 hours per week, with 40 hours compensated at regular pay and an additional 10 hours at time and a half. The role involves overseeing daily restaurant operations, especially in the General Manager's absence, making impactful decisions that propel the team towards excellence in service, safety, and operational efficiency. The Assistant Manager collaborates extensively with team members and management to ensure that customer satisfaction remains a top priority, all while managing inventory, labor costs, profit and loss responsibilities, and security procedures. This balance of operational management with a strong people focus creates a rewarding work experience that embraces both professional challenges and opportunities for career advancement.

Beyond the operational duties, the Assistant Manager acts as a key player in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring team members while cultivating a workplace culture grounded in equity, inclusion, and belonging. They play an essential role in resolving employee relations issues, providing feedback that fosters individual and team growth, and ensuring that all health and safety standards are rigorously followed. This role demands strong communication skills, decisiveness, and the ability to manage multiple facets of restaurant management seamlessly.

Additionally, KFC’s competitive compensation package includes benefits like medical coverage starting from day one, bonus opportunities, vacation time, paid time off, and free meals during shifts. There are also scholarship opportunities and programs through the KFC Foundation, such as free college tuition at Western Governors University, savings match programs, and hardship assistance resources, making this a desirable position for those looking to grow their career in the restaurant industry while enjoying substantial support and recognition.
