KFC Corporation is a globally recognized quick-service restaurant brand known for its iconic fried chicken and commitment to quality food and excellent customer service. Founded in 1952, KFC has grown into one of the largest fast-food chains worldwide, with thousands of locations serving millions of customers each day. The company prides itself on its rich heritage, operational excellence, and dedication to community values. KFC operates both corporate-owned and franchised restaurants, providing employment opportunities in various locations, including busy metropolitan areas like Los Angeles, California.
The available position is for an Assistant Manager at a KFC location in Los Angeles, CA, specifically at 320 N. Soto St. This role is a critical leadership position supporting the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) in overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant. The Assistant Manager acts as the second-in-command, ensuring all brand standards related to food quality, customer service, cleanliness, and safety are consistently met. This position carries significant responsibility, including leading the team, managing staff schedules and labor costs in line with sales trends, and executing administrative tasks like cash handling and bank deposits. The Assistant Manager plays an essential role in fostering a positive and efficient work environment, coaching team members, and maintaining strict adherence to company policies such as uniform standards and no cellphone use during work hours.
This hourly role offers a competitive wage of $20 per hour and includes the expectation that the Assistant Manager holds a valid driver's license, has access to a reliable vehicle with active insurance, and possesses basic computer skills to handle inventory, ordering, and digital record-keeping. A key part of the job is maintaining compliance with local health and safety regulations, performing audits, and addressing any corrective actions required to uphold KFC's quality standards. Additionally, the Assistant Manager must always be prepared to step in for the General Manager when needed and must be willing to relocate if business demands change.
The position emphasizes delivering an outstanding guest experience by greeting customers warmly within five seconds, efficiently processing orders with accuracy, and actively promoting upselling techniques to enhance sales performance. The Assistant Manager ensures the restaurant consistently meets Speed with Service goals and resolves guest concerns promptly. The role requires strong leadership skills to motivate and develop shift supervisors and team members through ongoing coaching and performance feedback. Furthermore, the Assistant Manager coordinates hiring, onboarding, and training processes to build a skilled and dedicated team.
