Job Description

KFC Corporation is a globally recognized fast-food restaurant chain specializing in fried chicken and known for its iconic brand and secret recipe. With a history spanning decades, KFC operates both corporate-owned and franchised locations across the United States and worldwide, delivering consistently high-quality food and customer service. At its core, KFC values a culture of inclusion, equity, and continuous improvement, fostering an environment where employees can thrive personally and professionally.

Located in Las Vegas, Nevada, this opportunity is for an Assistant Manager role at a busy KFC restaurant situated on Boulder Highway. The establishment offers a dynamic fast-paced environment focused on delivering exceptional dining experiences through teamwork, leadership, and strict adherence to food safety and operational standards.

The Assistant Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) with day-to-day operations, ensuring brand standards are upheld, and the team performs to the highest levels. This leadership position involves training, coaching, and motivating team members to consistently provide outstanding customer service and maintain a productive and positive workplace.

In the absence of the RGM, the Assistant Manager assumes full operational responsibility, making critical decisions to drive performance and maintain profitability. The role emphasizes collaboration, problem-solving, and promoting a respectful, inclusive culture where every team member feels valued.

This position requires working a 50-hour week, with a compensation structure including 40 hours at regular pay and 10 hours at time and a half, which demonstrates the company’s commitment to rewarding extra effort and dedication. The Assistant Manager is expected to act as an owner, helping to manage profit and loss through cash control, inventory oversight, labor scheduling, and compliance with security procedures.

Day-to-day duties include overseeing shift responsibilities, maintaining high food safety standards, supporting recruitment and hiring processes, resolving employee relations issues, and driving team engagement and recognition programs. Additionally, the role involves reviewing financial reports to optimize restaurant performance and assisting with facility maintenance and health and safety compliance.

KFC places a strong emphasis on career growth and offers various professional development opportunities, along with competitive pay, bonuses, paid time off, medical benefits from day one, and scholarship programs through the KFC Foundation. The Foundation programs include unique benefits such as free college tuition at Western Governors University, a dollar-for-dollar savings match, and hardship assistance, which highlight KFC’s investment in its employees' long-term success.

This is an Equal Opportunity Employer position, welcoming applicants from diverse backgrounds and ensuring fair treatment throughout the hiring process. Offers of employment are contingent upon satisfactory background checks and proof of eligibility to work. Franchise and corporate jobs may differ in terms of wage and benefits, as franchisees operate independently.

Joining KFC as an Assistant Manager means becoming part of a globally respected brand where you have the chance to lead, grow, and make a tangible impact in a thriving restaurant environment. If you are passionate about leadership, customer service, and fostering a team-oriented culture, this role offers a rewarding career path with plenty of room for advancement.
