Job Description
Wendy's is the world's second largest quick-service hamburger company, renowned for its commitment to quality, service, and customer satisfaction. With a robust system consisting of over 6,500 franchise and company-operated restaurants across the United States, 25 other countries, and U.S. territories worldwide, Wendy's has established itself as a leader in the fast-food industry by focusing on fresh ingredients and friendly service. This particular opportunity is with one of Wendy's franchisees, independently owned and operated, ensuring that the compensation, benefits, and career development programs align with the local franchise standards, which may differ from company-owned locations. The position is located at 701 Sagamore Parkway in West Lafayette, IN, offering competitive pay starting at $36,000 and up, depending on experience, along with a flexible and supportive working environment.
As a Manager at Wendy's, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the overall restaurant operations on a daily basis including supervision and leadership across various functional areas such as Open/Close procedures, Kitchen management, and Customer Service. This position is designed not only to manage but also to inspire and develop crew members and team trainers through effective training, communication, and leadership efforts that foster a culture aimed at delighting every customer. You will frequently collaborate with the Restaurant Management team to ensure compliance with food safety procedures, quality standards, production efficiency, and exceptional service delivery, all while maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment.
In your role, you may be assigned additional responsibilities such as acting as the Operations Leader, supervising opening and closing activities, cash management tasks including setting up and closing registers, and conducting operational walk-throughs to guarantee readiness for shifts or busy periods. Leadership qualities such as professionalism, patience, and the ability to work under pressure are essential as you balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting that may include noise, temperature variations, and prolonged standing or physical activity.
Wendy's managers are at the heart of driving the brand's well-known service culture, leading by example to create a customer-focused atmosphere. You will be responsible for coordinating daily operations planning, conducting team huddles for communication and motivation, and resolving customer feedback and Voice of the Customer (VOC) issues effectively. Personal and professional growth is encouraged through ongoing training, mentorship, and certification opportunities such as obtaining ServSafe certification.
This is a full-time managerial role requiring availability across all shifts and days of the week, with some flexibility for travel between locations or area offices as needed. The company values diversity and equal employment opportunities and supports reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Joining Wendy's as a Manager means contributing to a globally recognized brand committed to delivering quality food and an excellent dining experience, all within a team-oriented, dynamic work environment that values leadership development and career advancement.
