Job Description
Wendy's is a leading fast-food restaurant chain known for its fresh, quality food offerings and commitment to customer satisfaction. Founded in 1969, Wendy's has grown to become one of the largest and most recognizable fast-food brands globally, with a strong focus on providing a fun, family-friendly environment to both its customers and team members. With over $12 billion in sales, Wendy's operates numerous franchised and company-owned locations, emphasizing innovation, quality service, and a rewarding work environment. This particular job opportunity is with a Wendy's franchise located at 145 Broadway, Paterson, NJ 07505, which operates independently from company-owned stores and may vary in compensation and career development programs but maintains the core values and standards of the brand.
The Assistant Manager role at Wendy's offers a dynamic and rewarding career path for motivated, career-minded individuals who possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills. In this position, candidates will have the unique opportunity to learn the business comprehensively—from operational tasks to team management—with the stability and safety net offered by an established industry leader. The Assistant Manager supports the General Manager by training and supervising crew members, ensuring that food safety standards and procedures are rigorously monitored and reinforced, and interacting directly with customers to deliver superior service.
Key responsibilities include executing cost control systems that drive profitability and efficiency while maintaining a clean and welcoming restaurant environment. This role also demands excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills as managers respond to various operational challenges in a fast-paced and ever-changing restaurant setting. At Wendy's, Assistant Managers are role models who set the tone for a positive, family-oriented working atmosphere. They benefit from a flexible schedule that supports quality of life and a competitive compensation package comprising medical, dental, and prescription plans, paid structured training, vacation and sick leave, direct deposit, company matching 401(k) plans, retention bonuses, and unlimited professional growth opportunities based on performance.
This role is well suited for those who thrive in leadership roles and want to drive a team towards achieving business goals while fostering a supportive and efficient workplace culture. Wendy's is committed to equal employment opportunity and provides reasonable accommodation to enable individuals with disabilities to fulfill the essential functions of the job. Working conditions involve a fast-paced environment, exposure to various elements such as heat and noise, and physical tasks including standing for extended periods and lifting moderate weights. These requirements ensure that the Assistant Manager maintains both a hands-on approach and effective leadership presence on the restaurant floor.
With excellent training programs and defined career paths, Wendy's encourages promotion from within and supports those eager to develop their managerial skills and advance their careers. The Assistant Manager position is both challenging and fulfilling, offering individuals the chance to make a tangible difference in a vibrant, growing company while enjoying comprehensive support and benefits.
